Your use of our booking services is subject to these Terms and Conditions, which form a legally binding contract.
Upon booking your holiday, a legally binding contract is formed. A £100 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
If your booking is made within 7 weeks of your arrival date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Your holiday reservation is not confirmed until a written booking confirmation has been issued by Skiddaw View Holiday Park, either by email or in writing. We reserve the right to refuse any booking prior to issuing a booking confirmation.
All bookings must be made by persons aged 18 years or over.
Upon receipt of your booking confirmation, please check all details carefully. Any errors or omissions must be reported to us immediately.
Bookings are made as a consumer booking only. Neither the Company nor the property owner accepts liability for losses, costs, expenses, or claims relating to any business use.
The balance of your holiday cost must be paid by the due date advised at the time of booking.
Payment must be made by credit or debit card, or by bank transfer where agreed in advance. Confirmation of payment will be issued upon receipt.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date will result in cancellation of the holiday and forfeiture of the deposit.
Cancellation means that the property will not be occupied by any member of your party.
All cancellations must be made in writing. A cancellation is not confirmed until a cancellation reference number has been issued by us.
If you cancel your holiday, monies paid excluding the deposit will only be refunded if the property can be re-let. We will make reasonable efforts to re-let the accommodation, though not necessarily at the advertised price.
If successful, the refundable balance, up to the original agreed balance less the deposit, will normally be returned within 14 days of the original departure date.
If the property cannot be re-let, no monies will be refunded.
Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. This can be obtained from independent insurance providers, websites, or major retailers. Skiddaw View Holiday Park does not endorse any specific insurance scheme.
In the unlikely event that your holiday becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, we will offer suitable alternative accommodation of a comparable standard where possible.
If no suitable alternative is available, or you decline the alternatives offered, all monies paid toward the holiday will be refunded in full.
Your accommodation will be available from 4.00pm on the day of arrival unless otherwise agreed in advance. Please do not arrive earlier, as the accommodation may not be ready.
Departure is by 10.00am on the day of departure.
We kindly ask that the accommodation is left in a clean and tidy condition to assist our housekeeping team.
The number of occupants must not exceed the maximum stated for the property. If this condition is breached, you may be required to vacate the property without refund.
We reserve the right to access the property at any time to carry out essential maintenance or safety-related work.
Extensions to your stay must be arranged through our booking office and are subject to availability.
All accommodation should be treated with care and respect. Any damage or breakages must be reported prior to departure.
We reserve the right to charge for damage or excessive cleaning caused deliberately or negligently. Minor breakages such as glassware or crockery are not normally charged, provided they are reported.
If damage prevents the property from being re-let, additional charges may apply.
Where pets are permitted, they must be declared at the time of booking.
Pets must not be left unattended, allowed in bedrooms, or placed on furniture. Additional cleaning or damage caused may result in charges.
Any issues or concerns during your stay must be reported immediately so that we can attempt to resolve them during your visit.
Complaints raised after departure will not be considered unless they were reported at the time they occurred.
We will make reasonable efforts to address maintenance issues; however, no guarantees are given and no refunds will be issued for faults that cannot be immediately rectified.
Charging of electric vehicles is strictly prohibited at all rental properties.
If unauthorised charging is suspected or identified, you may be required to vacate the property immediately. In such cases, the booking will be treated as cancelled by you, with no refund payable.
We do not accept liability for damage, loss, or injury unless caused by proven negligence on the part of ourselves, our employees, or contractors.
This includes loss or damage to vehicles, their contents, and personal belongings.
We reserve the right to terminate any letting without refund where serious damage, nuisance behaviour, or occupancy breaches occur.
In such cases, the hirer remains liable for any outstanding charges or damage costs.
Certain properties require a refundable security or good housekeeping deposit. This will be returned within 14 days of departure, provided the accommodation is left in a satisfactory condition.
Where damage or excessive cleaning is required, the deposit may be retained in part or in full.
While we endeavour to ensure all property information is accurate, we cannot accept responsibility for inaccuracies except where caused by negligence.
Facilities and services may change from time to time.
No compensation will be payable where obligations cannot be fulfilled due to events beyond our control. This includes, but is not limited to, severe weather, natural disasters, fire, war, terrorism, industrial disputes, epidemics, or other unforeseeable circumstances.
These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
