Don’t forget this Sunday (20th November) is the Cockermouth Christmas Lights Big Switch On!
To help make sure you don’t miss out on the events, here is the timetable for the afternoon.
2.15pm – 2.30pm
Christmas Music with Billy Bowman
2.30pm – 2.45pm
Leah Goodger solo vocalist aged 12, winner of ‘Reach for the Stars’ talent show
2.45pm – 3.40pm
Mandy’s Dancing Divas
3.45pm – 4.10pm
Father Christmas arrives followed by singing and drumming from All Saints’ School pupils
4.15pm – 5.00pm
Mechanics Band & Churches Together Choir
5.00pm – 5.05pm
Christmas Lights Big Switch On!
The lights will be turned on by the Mayor of Cockermouth – Christine Smith with help of Dylan Stitt & Sophie Tewane (All Saints’ School), Grace Skillen & Oliver Rudd (Fairfield Infants School), Andrew Millican & Molly Nicholson (Fairfield Junior School), Patrick Williams & Sam Milne (St. Joseph’s School) and Edward Small & Michael Sloan (Day Services)
5.05pm – 6.00pm
Local band Collision
Stalls on the Street
Again local groups and charities will be having stalls selling cakes, mince pies, mulled wine and raffles etc. Including: Cockermouth School – a stall to raise money for their Rock Challenge!, Sally Cuppy Cakes, Crepe Stall, Cockrock Stall, Santa & His Grotto, Belfagan Dancers and Children’s Fun Fair
Also Allerdale Borough Council are providing FREE PARKING on Switch on Day and also on Sunday 4th, 11th, 18th December and Christmas Eve,
