Skiddaw View Holiday Park has been in the ownership of the Carr family since 1990 when it was purchased from Mr & Mrs Paterson a farming couple from Plumbland; who started the park in the early 1970's.
Mrs Ladzrie a recent visitor to the park produced an old photograph taken around 1973 and shows her proudly standing next to her brand new caravan… back then there was no electricity, chemical toilet and gas lighting. The timber lodge is today’s first choice for superior comfort, these huge homes offer real home from home comfort with the bonus of our fantastic Lake District views.
Some of our visitors today, who spent many happy summers at Skiddaw View as children and now themselves parents often return with their offspring introducing them to the pleasure of a 'caravan' holiday.
